How the Superannuation calculator works
This calculator multiplies your ordinary time earnings by the Superannuation Guarantee rate to estimate how much your employer must contribute to your super fund each year, and breaks that down by pay period.
The Super Guarantee rate reached its final legislated level of 12% on 1 July 2025. Some employers pay a higher rate as part of an enterprise agreement or salary package — adjust the rate field if that applies to you.
Frequently asked questions
The Superannuation Guarantee (SG) rate is 12% of your ordinary time earnings, effective from 1 July 2025 — the final step of a long legislated phase-in. Your employer must pay this into your nominated super fund.
