How the Savings goal calculator works
Choose whichever question matches your situation. If you know your timeframe, this calculator works out the monthly amount you’d need to save — accounting for interest earned along the way — to reach your goal. If you know how much you can save each month, it instead works out how long that will take.
Both modes assume your interest rate stays constant and that you save consistently each month. Use a conservative interest rate for a safer estimate, especially if you’re saving somewhere your balance can go up or down in value.
